New Plan for 2026
New Year, new plan…
Plan D –
Beginning January 2026, we are going to concentrate on the Tea Room and only open when we have Tea Reservations. This allows us to better control our schedule and take time off when needed.
The days we have off between driving back and forth to NC are not restful and we’re exhausted. And we’re missing out on important family and friend events. The General Store / Coffee House will still be open to the public but only during the times that we are here for Tea Parties which will vary.
Our typical hours for reservations will be Wednesday – Saturday from 11:00-3:00, but subject to change. If we do not have a reservation, we will not be open. However, this puts us in a better position to open on other days (Sunday-Tuesday) for special occasions and private parties. We will still welcome last-minute reservations if we are able to, but there’s no guarantee, so please plan ahead when possible.
We know this is not ideal but we pray everyone can understand and will still support our little store when they can.

Change is Coming
Many of you are not aware but we still live in North Carolina. We travel down every week, work Wednesday thru Saturday and then drive home on Saturday night, sleeping in our camper while we are here. And on top of this, Mr. Randy has a full-time job.
We made the decision in 2021 to rent out the store so we could move to NC and be closer to family. We never imagined being back again. But when the tenants decided not to renew the lease at the end of last year, we could not afford to leave it sitting empty nor were we interested in renting it out again. Still, we love this little Store and our hope was to keep it going as we feel it is an asset to the community.
We want to thank everyone for their continued support over the years, especially with all of the changes. We love still being a part of this community but to continue to do so we need your help in reaching more people to keep the support going.
